AtmosClear supplied 35,000 VERs to North American and European buyers who service both corporate and consumer customers. We also sold thousands of tonnes to individuals and families through our shopping cart and our partner Climate Club program!

For the future VERs, we’re taking steps to get those verified according to the new global Voluntary Carbon Standard, which was launched on November 19, 2007. Once we use that standard for one or more of our projects, we’ll be selling VCUs (Voluntary Carbon Units). Yup, more acronyms!

We are pleased that a new standard is evolving and that this will help to bring rigor and accountability to the blossoming carbon market. For us, it’s really a more formal extension of what we’ve been doing under Environmental Resources Trust's guidance over the past 4 years.
